COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
|
A.M.I.'s topical courses are administered in a few different ways.
1. Hands-On training with small groups of ten or less where students can physically put their hands on every repair and get practice doing necessary repairs with plenty of time and direction.
2. Lecture style which uses PowerPoint presentations along with student handouts.
3. Forum style which relies heavily on student participation, a chalkboard, and some hands-on learning.
4. Group style in which the entire class is broken up into groups and each group is given tasks to complete as a team which pertain to the topic and follow the presentation.
All of A.M.I.'s training courses are considered "open" students are free to ask questions and impart their own wisdom and experience with concern to the topic at hand, and are encouraged to do so. We look at the time spent at a training course as an opportunity for individuals to learn not only from the instructor but from experienced fellow students.
Our courses are meant to be informative and enjoyable, but more importantly memorable. If students do not retain the information and techniques from a training course and are unable to apply new skills when they return to their property then that course would be useless. We seek to empower maintenance professionals and give them the information and techniques that are going to be critical to their success on the job in a way that is understandable, meaningful, and memorable.
